COVID-19 Free Mental Health Support
There is help out there for everyone.
There is a 24/7 government funded, free mental health support service, delivered by Beyond Blue for those feeling worried or struggling to cope during the coronavirus pandemic. The website will be updated regularly to assist in helping individuals with their wellbeing and mental health during this time.
The service provides various support from talking it through, on-line community forums, information and advice and suicide support.
The support provides for;
- Talking about coronavirus with kids
- Small business owners
- Dealing with job loss
- Self-care for health workers
Specifically relevant to small business owners there is a Personal Wellbeing Plan you may like to have a look including reasons for having a business, triggers that raise stress levels, warning signs, positive work habits that improve the situation, positive actions to make things better, a plan if you are not able to work and a return to work plan. There is also a document to guide you in ensuring your wellbeing for your team but please don’t forget to ask the simple question, RUOK? to start the conversation.
There are also tips on managing employees working from home and you can also refer to one of our recent announcements sent out, COVID-19 Working from Home. It is certainly a starting point for business owners themselves and a resource for employees, stood-down employees or retrenched employees.
As we keep saying – regardless of the reason, now more than ever is the time to consult and communicate with your team.
During this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are sending out relevant information weekly to do our bit to assist. If you are not already receiving them, please sign up via our contact page on our website.
If you require further assistance with the management of your staff during this time, please let us know. We are here to help. We remain available via email or phone – leisa.messer@hrbd.com.au or 0401 271 616 | 07 3890 2066.
We hope you are OK. Take care. Keep safe.
