RUOK? Yes I am, thanks for asking
In the spirit of RU OK day on 11 September 2015 I would like to share a personal RUOK story.
It had been an awful day. Someone close to me was unwell and they were having a really bad time. It hurt to see them so poorly.
I was struggling to keep myself together and and a friend of mine noticed this. She came up to me and asked if I was ok. I choked out a response that I was too upset to talk and fled. A short time later I received a text from her. She had been through a similar experience and understood. Knowing that she understood and was there for support was immensely comforting.
I was glad she asked the question.
