HR Business Direction recently worked with a client that requested the development of a WH&S Management System. Following our meetings with the client it was established that the need for the management system came about as a result of confusion in relation to their legal obligations and responsibilities towards workers. The client was concerned with their lack of workplace health and safety policies and procedures from a compliance point of view, but was confused as they had previously been provided with some incorrect advice.
HR Business Direction assisted the client to more completely understand their obligations and to develop a plan for implementation of their management system. This involved working with the client to create a plan that suited timeframe and budgetary constraints.
Following development of the necessary WH&S policies and procedures HR Business Direction assisted our client with training for both the senior management team and head office employees and provided advice in relation to the successful roll out of management system throughout their organisation.
During the course of this job the client requested assistance in managing a sensitive HR issue which had the potential to result in a claim or legal action. HR Business Direction conducted an independent workplace investigation for the organisation and provided advice on how best to manage the issues identified in that investigation.
